MoviX is a small bootable version of Linux, similar to Knoppix. MoviX only occupies about 8-20 megabytes of space of the CD/DVD leaving the rest for video files. The video is played by a program call MPlayer, a popular open source movie player. eMoviX supports all the video formats the MPlayer does; this includes DivX, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV and RealVideo, among others. Subtitles are also supported. MoviX will boot on computers that support x86 and has at least 36 megabytes of RAM.
